Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire, a quiet community within The West Island of Montreal is home to a number of small businesses. People aren't sure of about the definition of the word, and think it is a distinct Island that lies west of Montreal. It is actually the West Island includes the entire part of the island from Lachine up to the west. The West Island is frequently referred to as the place where Amanda Brugel was born. Amanda Brugel, but while it's true that she was born there it was not her home. Her time in the city was infrequent. Brugel was raised in Courtice, outside Oshawa, Ontario. Her initial goals were to become a professional dancer. However, a growth in her body meant that she was outgrowing her dance partners. According to an article in The Toronto Star, she confessed, "In heels I am 6 feet 1 inches." When I was outgrowing my male counterparts I cut off. The majority of dancers who have been ex-dancers now turn into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was the nudge of a drama teacher at the high school who pushed her into the proper direction. The teacher suggested that she try her hand at a character in the school's annual production. She was suggested by her teacher to try out for a role in the school's annual production. In the end, she was selected to portray Anne of Green Gables. The show was a recipient of an Fine Arts Talent scholarship at York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 2000.
